| Bio: | Or, "Everything you wanted to know about me in sixty seconds, and will never read again." I grew up in Melbourne, Australia. I lived there until I was twelve, and then moved to Zurich, Switzerland. I lived there until I was 18, and then moved to Nottingham, UK, where I'm at Uni doing History and Politics. I then moved back to Zurich, only to find that my Mum had decided she wanted to move to the UK. Except my Dad was staying in Zurich. So I tend to divide my time between Nottingham, where I pretend to do a degree, Surrey, where I pretend to live with Mum, and Zurich, where I pretend that I'm not happy in Surrey or Nottingham for Dad's benefit. I think, underneath my boring middle-class exterior, lies an indie boy at heart. Fortunately for everyones benenfit, he escapes rarely, usually in the form of my music taste or my utter contempt for the cheese clubs that pervade this country. Everything else about me is pretty much a fully developed old man. With the exceptions of 60s night at the Cookie Club and live gigs, loud music is to be avoided at all costs. Quiet nights in with a bottle of wine and some good company/good film are top of the list. I read The Guardian, the Economist and Top Gear magazine. I'm a liberal-leaning conservative fascist, according to my more disagreeable friends, depending on the topic in question, and a wannabe petrol head. I can ogle cars all day, tell you their bhp, torque and list price in the UK, but how an engine works? The benefits of various types of forced induction? I'm not a bloody engineer. Last and not least, I update rarely, add me at your own risk, my views are my own and rarely controversial, and if you're Scandinavian, please add me. You guys are fantastic, and make me miss Zurich. But you'll have to add me if you want to know how that makes sense. | |
